Chocolate Mousse- Eggless

For the Eggless Chocolate Mousse: What goes inside: 125Gms: Cooking Chocolate Bar(I used Vochelle). 100Gms: Whipping Or Double Cream. 1/2 Cup(125Gms): Butter. 1Tsp: Vanilla Essence. 1/4 Cup: Icing Sugar. 1/2Tsp: Instant Coffee Powder(Optional). How to put it in together: Chop the Cooking chocolate into small uniform pieces, add butter along with it. Melt Chocolate and butter together on high in the Microwave for 1.5-2 minutes, remove from microwave once done and set aside to cool. Tip in the instant coffee powder into the chocolate - butter mix and stir in well. In another large bowl, take the whipping/double cream along with the icing sugar and whip on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until it just forms a stiff peak(a perfect stiff peak is reached when the peak can stay up until at least a minute or two). Now the chocolate-butter-coffee mixture would have cooled up by now,if not place the bowl in another bowl of cold water, but ensure the mixture is not left to cool ...

Vermicelli Upma has been my Fav since childhood....i like just dote on this one(a famous south indian speciality)...;) when it came to introducing it to my daughter i was a bit nervous...!! Well on this one she surprised me...was i glad to see her eat it happily...Oh you bet i am...i loaded it with veggies to make it look more appealing to her lil twinkling eyes...and as the twinkled i had myself all sparkling & beaming with utmost happiness and joy...!! Chatpatta Mango - Tomato Salsa...;)

A variety of mango which many people often dislike in Karnataka when it comes to choice against the vast selection available is Baiganpalli, ...But for me when it's mango season i can just about eat any......;) The other day I happened to find the same out here in Dubai, so all excited ...I picked up 4nos, but not everybody at my place liked it so after pondering a while if I must simply use it for my daughter's morning breakfast or should I try something  new & Make sure they eat this one, obviously I went for the second choice,  & decided to have everyone eat it but without their knowledge, juice would have been a very easy choice which most of them would have guessed instantly, but easy peasy choices don't help me learn...so decided to try something new and a sudden thought struck me &  remembered having eaten this in a Mexican joint out here say about 3 years back with a colleague of mine, while we were driving back after a meeting in Abu ...

Broccoli & Carrot Stuffed Parantha (Pictorial Step by step)

Hmmm...Heavenly smell of Parantha's sets a different mood in the whole household, people automatically begin looking like "Jerry mouse" of Tom & Jerry fame who goes weak in the knees with the heavenly smeel of Cheese, jeeezzzz.....!!! Mom goes frantic when it's parantha day at my place, coz she seldom gets a chance to even sit and eat a hot parantha with all that luxury of parantha's coming straight from the tawa/Ladle straight  to her plate... Yummmm...it's more of an imaginative visual experience for her or rather the halucination she goes through...especially when she see's most women her age being served by their bahu's...!! Mom's moment of glory is yet to arrive in say hmmmm...about 10-15yrs from now since my brother is just 14 yrs old now...;( tough luck yet mom...then she takes in a deep breath sighing says " Mera Number Kab Ayega..??"(Meaning: When will my turn to sit and have 3 meals with peace & be served come...?? well...

Sprouted Ragi,Moong,Wheat & Almonds Porridge for kids

Sprouted Ragi, Sprouted Moong,Sprouted Wheat & Almonds all make a complete whole meal for babies above six months. Even adults could use this as a health drink, well about the health benefits of ragi are widely known or rather better known as finger millets they turn out to be the best source  of carbohydrates, proteins, and  a whole bunch of vitamins for children & when accompanied with moong, wheat & almonds, well what can i say...?? Almost every south indian household makes this after the birth of a child, & since I've lived almost all my life in South india(Bangalore), this was done in my place too...when i delivered my daughter... ( actually south or north india how does it really matter what matters is, is this good for my child, if yes what's wrong in adapting to it...??) . Ragi is a little filling for young babies hence it is always advised to feed them during the day so it can be well digested, but, some people also suggest...

Sprouts & Fruit Salad

Sprout & Fruit Salad Salad's is something my hubby would once upon a time stay far apart from. But at my place it's like an everyday thing...once married  i  was feeling the deepest cravings for salads, then one day my mom in law said " deary go ahead and make what you know " who eats or not is not important, we'll try that everyone eats...!! sweetie pie that she is, generally very reserved for kerelite food she at least encouraged me do make what  i  love to eat...i was very happy...;) That's how the story began then  i  moved on to Dubai with hubby and we continued making salads now and then, and after trying different permutations & combinations  i  finally succeeded but now we have this one salad everyday at least once ...how boring....!! but hubby really loves this one...!! Ingredients: Moong Sprouts:  2 - 3 Tbsp. Apple: 2 - 3 Tbsp(Diced). Strawberries: 2 - 3 Tbsp(Diced). Carrots: 2 - 3 Tbsp(Grated). Pomegrana...

Oatmeal Pancakes with strawberries & honey(Eggless).

Another healthy breakfast option recipe..;) often we think of how good, bad or ugly something might taste and are scared to try it or just brush even the thought aside saying oh...it's something that's not common in our culture so why try un necessarily..!! We are all familiar with both the terms Oatmeal & Pancakes...so i decided to try Oatmeal pancakes...a healthier option to the regular pancakes which are rich and quite heavy on the stomach. Having a very liberal hubby on such issues the poor man was my first guinea pig too for this one, and my experiment did quite well... and now my hubby needs pancakes as breakfast atleast 1 - 2times in a week...sometimes even packed for work....quite encouraging that was...;) The good thing is that it takes just a jiffy to get one pancake off the stove...! The best part being you can make both healthy and heavy in the tummy versions very easily...with not very difficult variations...!! Ingredients: Oatmeal(quic...

Kiwi & Lemon Cooler...:P

Summer's at it's peak and it's quite tough when you have babies/toddlers who are quite fussy with their food...! Well definitely not their mistake...anybody can be bored with the same food, same milk etc etc every single day so i'm sure most of you agree "Children" are no exception for that matter...;) I love cooking for my one year old and when she...says "Mama" and gestures to express she wants more my joy needs no bounds...i enjoy her thoroughly for that matter...!! Since "Dubai" is a place where 8 months of the year we are bogged with high temperatures ranging between 30+ to sometimes 50 degrees as well....!! Keeping your body well hydrated is very important...!! Coming to "KIWI " a fruit that is Originally know as "Yang Tao" is actually the National Fruit of "The Republic Of China". Eating kiwi fruit is clearly a healthy choice, and it is particularly useful in these cases: Prevents Asthma. Prevent...

Wholesome Healthy Pasta with Tomatoes, Veggies & Fresh Basil

Pasta has been one of my fav since a long time, what's more i survived our holiday in "Rome & Venice" on pasta and different sorts of veggie pasta's alone..;). Travelling is not very easy, especially when your "Vegan", is one standard line my hubby says all the while, but the sweetheart has not once tried to convert me into his type.... which is a hardcore "Carnivorous"(pssst...he won't sapre me for this comment but chalta hai yaar....;). Of course the version you see here is the healthier version which i normally stick to...but if you want to have a richer, yummier version then you must try adding at least 1/4 stick of butter towards the end and of course you could  sprinkle a bit of Parmesan Cheese if you'd like to.....;)  Well "Archu"... this is especially for you, hope you're reading this one...if you are then try it and do let me know...!!! Pasta is one thing where the variations can depend completely on your ...
