Ways to Boost Your Toddler's Confidence

Being a first time mom I'm often anxious about raising my child(she is 14 months old now),often find myself in situations where i don't have a clue as to what to do and how to handle a particular situation.I'm sure many of you face this situation...so this goes out to all my friends who are/were in this situation. I hope to learn more from you guys on this topic so we all could help each other with our experiences, on many more topics tooo...;)

Not having mom or mom in law around really makes it tougher to guess what my baby is getting at certain times. well that's when i surf the net and read to try and find out what i could do to help my baby...well a few times in different malls & i found my baby was pretty shy, and scared of people at times.

Suddenly she would become so clingy, and would cry to take her out....we were really confused cos on a normal day she would love to put on her little clipty-clapity slippers and run into the lift and would jump into the car with utmost enthusiasm....but once we reached someones house or a store where someone would just come over to say hi to her...or any kid who would just bully her in play area's really began troubling us.

We felt there must be some way to get her to be more confident...well i wouldn't say this already really worked for us cos I'm just trying ways to help her to read more and help your child if you find your child is also going through the same anxiety click on this link and read on: Ways to Boost Your Toddler's Confidence after all there's nothing wrong in giving it a try so the little one could gather him/herself together...;)

Shruthi

+Green PeasPulao / Matar Pulao(One Pot Meal...;)

Matar/Green Peas Pulao(One Pot Meal): Weekend's somehow make me feel weak in the knees to eat rice...i feel really bored to have roti's & dosas the whole week through..!! My versatile pallets and the stomach who's used to eat variety from mom screams out and demands more variety on the weekends. However though a weekday today i broke the usual rules and cooked up my favorite "Matar Pulao" which doesn't take much time as well as it's not too much  of a labor, since it all goes in one pot and pressure cook cool and serve, so i don't need to even wash too many dishes, so last night's dinner was Green Peas Pulao, Karnataka style with a slight variation for the sake of good health..;P What goes Inside: 1Cup: Basmati Rice(i used Basmati, since this is what i can acquire here easily ) or normal cooking rice of your choice. Spices: As per your taste you may add or delete the same(Cinnamon sticks+Green Cardamom+C...

Basic Eggless WWF Loaf Cake..;)

Basic Eggless WWF Sponge Loaf Cake..;) A Confession : Though I've been baking for quite sometime now,i must confess a basic sponge cake was more a matter of luck in my "cake"...Oops...sorry "case"..!!  I would go on and on like mom always very rightly said "Try try never say die... " i kept trying until i continued to succeed(psst: just to ensure i'm doing it perfectly right)..!!  Finally I've succeeded & so proud to shout it out loud to the world...i managed to bake the most "Mmmm..moist Eggless WWF Sponge Cake"...). It's been such a hit at my place that I've already baked it thrice in 3days in a row (I swear i'm just not exaggerating one bite..sorry bit..;) and also tried my new experiment "Basic Eggless WWF-Oatmeal & Chocolate Loaf Cake"...Well that recipe will follow soon though..!! Baking a cake always takes me through the nostalgia of school days where we learnt the famous nursery rhyme " ...

+Coffee Liqueur - (Non Alcoholic)

Coffee Liqueur - (Non - Alcoholic): This is something i used when i made my daughter's Birthday Cake earlier, and i really can vouch on this one for it's taste, i actually shouldn't be terming this one as liqueur, because there is no alcohol in it.  But frankly you know what, I can't just call it plain coffee-cocoa-sugar syrup.  I'd say this one's just too plain for something so ecstatic tasting,In fact, this one is so amazing. And if you just happen to have a little extra left, just save it up and use it to make your next cup of home-made mocha, and believe me you won't just stop at one cup! What Goes Inside: 1 Cup: Water. 1 Tbsp: Cocoa powder( I used Hershey's). 1 1/4 Tbsp: Instant Coffee powder. 3/4 Cup: Sugar. How it's put in together:   In a small pan combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Set aside and cool before using. If you intend on making an alcoholic liqueur, all you need to add to this is few couple spoons ...
