We're Back!!

Yes!! Finally, we're back after a break of about a decade!!😅  Well, this is what happens when we muggles take up the task of bringing them muggle wizards & witches up!! Yes, they are both nicely brought up quirky little witches also they apparently have the same "Patronus" their adorable Daschund "PLUTO"!! So for the Old and New audiences, yes we've changed the name of the blog from a rather old "Traditional Secrets" to a rather fun and unconventional "Muggle Dairies", OHH the logo has also changed...💖 For those who didn't follow much....My Girls are "HUGE" Harry Potter fans, live breathe and speak the HP lingo!! So this blog revival was their idea and when I began I thought who better should  I dedicate this to?? On my birthday they gifted me my lost blog, they'd revived it with help of my husband, made a few changes to the theme, etc..!! I think they returned a piece of the old me back to me!!😘😘 So on that emot

+Homemade Indian Curds / Yoghurt/ Dahi/ Thair Recipe:)

+Homemade curds Recipe: It's amazing how life changes after marriage! Especially simple things such as consumption of curds too .....after being marrying a ' mallu boy ', I was amazed at the way they either mix curd in everything or rather cook almost everything with curd!! Initially it was a culture shock for me, a Rajput( being born n brought up one)!! I hardly had had curd ever in life until then!! Well as with anyone things changed gradually for me too....I understood far too quickly that I need to master the art of making well set curd as soon as possible...( yes...even curd setting is as good as Art..!!)... well finally after 10 years of marriage, two kids and infinite trials and error methods I came out victorious, this one really works well each time!!! The important thing is it really works well on our wallets too....and works fantabulous-ly on the health of our kids too..:) Now I can brag about making my very own dahi- Sakkar, dahi n parantha's, dahi Kari'

+Wheat flour / Atta Ladoos..:)

+Wheat flour / Atta Ladoos..:) I have had besan ladoos when mum used to make them, but never ever thought I could make wheat ladoos in a similar manner! I thought this Diwali I need to do something out of my shell, I wanted it to be special as both my daughters were having their first conscious Diwali together! Conscious as in an age where they both understand most of what is happening around and instructions such as 'be careful, stop, don't touch, etc! I have often watched my mum making besan ladoos but had never tried them on my own! Well so finally when I did decide to try it on my own I wanted something more healthier!  A healthier version would always be welcome to anyone and can't be anything but 'Wheat' instead of besan! Adding to all this I even saw a very tempting pic from Raks kitchen which inspired me to try her dressing style, thanks for the lovely idea to tempt my kids n hubby. I think the saying that a bride always looks be

+BUTTERED LENTILS CURRY / DAL MAKHANI RECIPE:

Post Title:  BUTTERED LENTILS CURRY / DAAL MAKHANI RECIPE: A very versatile North Indian Curry, also known as Maa Ki Daal or Daal Makhani famously. A great curry which goes well with Rice, Pulao's or Roti's of any sort! Though we are originally North Indian's I guess living in the south for Generations sort of made us adapt to a lot of recipes from the south and so we never made daal Makhani at home, though it's my favourite and most ordered curry when I go to a restaurant. I didn't have any idea on how to cook this until I decided to give it a try, as I was falling short of options for dinner curries which is usually roti or wheat dosa's regularly!  I picked this recipe from cookingnme and voila! It turned out great of course I did make minor adjustments to suit the taste of my family....:). Preparation time: 20 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutes Serves: 2 What Goes Inside: 1/2 Cup of Black Urad Dal, Soaked Overnight, 1
